I engaged Dr. Housing (PIC: Ms Lim) for whole unit renovation, major on dry and wet kitchens, as well as minor for other sections in the unit. I am really satisfied especially kitchen’s part.

I recommend you to engage Dr Housing as your property’s renovation contractor or partner. Here you go on the few reasons why you should choose them based on my experiences:

1. Professionalism

Like usual, Ms. Lim would understand what we need at first place. To understand our living styles and the desire design we want. Some people might have already have some design ideas on mind, what we need to do was just tell them what we want no matter whether it is practical or not because Ms. Lim would definitely listen and feedback accordingly.

I still do remember the first appointment when we met at my unit, Ms Lim brought some equipment to hit on the walls’ tiles to inspect the condition of my unit. This wasn’t being done by other contractors who came to my unit. This is impressive!

2. Solution provider

After the inspection, Ms. Lim had feedback to me on the house condition and provide some suggestions to me on how can we improve the condition.

I have roughly told Ms Lim on what we want on the kitchen design then they provided few designs and further enhance on the final design based on our requirement.

Of course sometimes I might have some wild ideas which were not practical, Ms. Lim would feedback accordingly and take down the good ideas to implement on it.

3. Budget & Cost

Ms Lim provided details quotation in term of costing breakdown. This make me feel secure on what we had to pay. I have compared few quotation provided by other contractors, Dr. Housing provided slightly lower cost than market price (but might not the cheapest one).

4. Ms Lim was trying so hard to work within the budget but I was demanding too much which had cause it has slight over our budget. Anyway, we are satisfied in term of quality.

5. Workmanship & Efficiency

They have experienced contractors partnership, reliable sub-con and delivery superb workmanship.

However, it might still have some minor mistakes were done but they were willing to re-do. They were working accordingly to the schedule and I would say they were quite discipline and update me the status of the progress.

6. Communication

Ms Lim is very responsive. Although I always look for her during odd hour, but she still willing to wait and respond to me whenever she is available. I would said I am an indecisive client. I consider a lots before making any decision. This could be good nor bad, because it make me take longer time than usual to make any confirmation and keep on changing on my decision. However, Ms. Lim was so patient on me and always do the confirmation with me before making any move. Dr. Housing is partnering with few experts to provide home solutions but I have only single contact point which is Ms Lim, she would help to cascade the information to her partner or team. But just that it had sometime might need to talk to the right person directly in some urgent or rush situations.

7. Payment Term

Payment were made accordingly to the stages of the project status, usually they collect money after they complete the stage.

(No worry on they will run away, because they are quite establishing now.)

8. Service after renovation

They also have kind of “after sales service”. For me, this is quite important because we might find out some defect after move in. But they are willing to come to fix it and to touch up. I am not sure how long this service will last, but at least now they are still contactable to come and do the touch up without additional chargers.

9. Overall Rating

I would gave them 8 out of 10, where 2 points for their improvement. Nothing is perfect right? I know we may make it perfectly done but there are some improvement areas.
